grampians 150x108

Grampians Challenge multisport and trail run registration is open

Once again 17th of September you are invited to experience magic of Grampians in the multisport and trail running events. The course is set in one of the most dramatic Victorian landscapes- Wartook valley of the Northern Grampians.

Classic multisport course consisted of 9 km running along spectacular Mackenzie falls walking trail, 10 km of paddling in pristine Wartook lake and 35 km of mountain bike riding along Mt Difficult range would not leave disappointed athletes of all abilities from weekend warriors to super fast guns.

In 2016 course winning time was just over 3 hours, Stewart Bennet smashed the paddling leg and retained his lead on a bike.

The 2017 event is open for Solo participants with age group categories, relay teams and AR Duo teams of two - both participants have to stay together for the entire course and kayaking equipment is provided.

The race logistics is reasonably simple, start and finish is in Zumsteins picnic ground with one separate transition area- about 15 minutes drive from the HQ – start and finish  of the kayaking leg.

Spectacular 15 km trail run is set for those who want to keep it simple- just running. Start on Mackenzie falls walking track, check out  a view of Wartook lake and back to the race HQ on 4wd trails. No bitumen involved, some steep climbing and downhill sections to make it challenging enough.

All courses are fully marked and no navigation required.

Registration is open today and early bird rates are available till 31st of May. Spots are limited so do not wait for too long to enter to avoid missing out.
